More than 100 FBU members continue to seek justice for the injuries they sustained as rescuers on the night of the Grenfell fire. Their experiences caused them both physical and psychological injuries and, for many, those injuries continue to profoundly affect their personal and professional lives.
In the absence of anyone being willing to accept responsibility for the tragedy and injuries caused, Thompsons Solicitors has issued court proceedings against multiple corporate defendants including the owners and landlord of the tower, the manufacturers of the retrofitted cladding, and the architects and contractors responsible for fitting the cladding.
Before then and since, we have been gathering medical and other evidence to support the claims.
Thompsons is determined to reach a just settlement for the FBU members as soon as possible.
The defendants and their insurers must not be allowed to drag their feet when the evidence coming from the Grenfell Tower inquiry has laid bare their significant, collective failings which caused the tragedy and the injuries to the firefighters.
