FBU conference 22, 23 and 24 May 2024 - Executive council policy proposed alteration to rule (s)

FBU CONFERENCE 22, 23 & 24 MAY 2024 – EXECUTIVE COUNCIL POLICY PROPOSED ALTERATION TO RULE(S)

Please find enclosed the following Executive Council proposed alterations to Rule(s) for Conference 2024:

1. Rule H2 (8) is a proposed Rule change which is a requirement of the Certification Officer in order to update the addresses of the Certification Office addresses in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
2. Rule C1 (3) is a proposed Rule change (previously raised at Conference 2023) to add + to LGBT in order to recognise the diversity of the section.
3. Rule B2 (1) (ii) and Rule B2 (1) (v) are proposed to include the use of gender-neutral pronouns.

Brigade and National Sectional Committees have the opportunity to submit amendments to the executive council proposed alterations to Rule. The form for amendments is attached.

All amendments need to be returned to Head Office [email protected] and [email protected]  not later than 2.00pm on Monday 15 April 2024.
