FBU response to the consultation on the regulations to introduce a new firefighters’ pension scheme from April 2015

This document provides a further response from the Fire Brigades Union (FBU) to the consultation document, ‘Firefighters’ Pension Scheme Regulations 2014’.

This submission primarily focuses on the legislative section of the consultation document and provides a version outlining concerns and observations on particular sections of the draft regulations.

It contains three parts:

1. A reiteration of the FBU’s opposition to the proposals
2. Comments, observations and concerns with the draft regulations
3. Ongoing concerns in relation to the equality statement.
