Picketing is the act of inducing workers to support, respect and join the strike action – it is also important as a focus for those workers who have been balloted and as a focus for their struggle.
Picketing is in itself an act of solidarity and self-support; pickets have an important job of communicating the reasons for the dispute and the need for members and colleagues to stand together.
