Trevor Shanahan, FBU union learning fund project manager, said: “The FBU ULF Team, working in partnership with West Midlands Fire and Rescue Service, have been raising awareness of Dyslexia in the workplace and promoting good practice in supporting employees who have dyslexia.
“Out of this partnership the following video has been produced that really speaks for itself; an honest view of individuals themselves and their journey through life and the fire service with dyslexia.
“The video is now being used by the Department of Work and Pensions.
“Thanks to Graham Humphrey, FBU ULF project worker, West Midlands FRS and most importantly, the individuals in the video that agreed to share their experiences.”
