When: 7:30pm, 12 December 2014
Where: Manchester Academy 2, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9PR
Paul Heaton, formerly of the Beautiful South, will be performing with Jacqui Abbott at Manchester Academy 2 along with the the Golinski Brothers and the Lottery Winners, to raise money for campaign and education projects that fight racism and to help and educate the most vulnerable.
The event, co-sponsored by the Fire Brigades Union, has been organised by the anti-fascist campaigning organisation Hope Not Hate.
Paul Heaton said: “We are asking that people who attend the gig bring along a non-perishable food item that we can then give to food banks to distribute at Christmas.
“A bag of rice, a tin of beans, some toothpaste, a deodorant – simple things that people need but are finding hard to provide for themselves or their families as the Tory government and their allies cut further into the working class by cutting jobs and benefits to help provide tax cuts to their mates.”
