Firefighters in England and Wales are over half way through an eight day strike, as part of the continuing pensions dispute.
Friday evening will see firefighters walkout from 11pm to 1am on Saturday totalling 25 periods of strike action since the campaign began.
Matt Wrack, FBU general secretary, said: “I would like to congratulate all firefighters who are standing up for their future, their family’s future and the future of the fire and rescue service by striking this week.
“The government needs to come to the table and offer a fair, workable and affordable pension scheme.
“Union officials will be meeting with the new fire minister at Westminster Penny Mordaunt later today where we hope progress can be made in resolving this dispute.”
