Yesterday the streets of central London were treated to a live performance from up and coming singer, McMahon, and his band.
The Cork-born singer owes his life to The Fire Brigade after near-fatal car crash in 2007.
To his show his support to the firefighters McMahon teamed up with the Fire Brigades Union to highlight their campaign to stop cuts to fire and rescue services across the country.
Matt Wrack, FBU general secretary, said: “McMahon’s story demonstrates the vital role that firefighters play in protecting public safety.
“The fire and rescue service saves lives everyday – and yet this government is cutting it to shreds.
“It’s important that everyone gets behind firefighters as we campaign to save our fire service, and we’re grateful to McMahon for his help in promoting this important cause and raise money for the fight.”
McMahon’s debut single, Deep Down, topped the Irish iTunes charts in the spring of last year.
McMahon’s new single, Fire, is released on Monday 25 May.
