The Fire Brigades Union National Women’s School will be held between 2pm Friday 4 and 2pm Sunday 6 April 2014 at Wortley Hall, near Sheffield.
Attendance is open to all FBU women members — including those who have not been before — and the event will feature a number of guest speakers, group discussions and workshops covering a variety of issues affecting women in the fire and rescue service.
The school will also provide the opportunity for attendees to meet other FBU women members from across the UK and share experiences.
Meals and accommodation are provided and all reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
If you would not be able to attend without bringing your children of any age for whom you are legally responsible, you may bring them along, and a crèche facility is available during the days and evenings.
If you have never been before and need trade union leave or any more information before applying, contact Samantha Rye on [email protected] or 07827 300078.
Please note that demand is very high for the school and places are limited so it may not be possible for everyone who applies to attend.
Please return completed application form by Friday 7 March 2014 to Elaine Hawkins, Bradley House, 68 Coombe Road, Kingston, Surrey, KT2 7AE.
You’ll receive a response by Friday 14 March 2014.
