Petition on firefighters' pensions now online

October 02, 2013
firefighters-march

Firefighters have launched an online petition against the government’s current attacks on their pensions.

As well as collecting signatures on picket lines during last week’s strike, firefighters will also be encouraging supporters to fill in the online petition to pressure the government into seeing sense.

Firefighters argue that the government is simply ignoring all the evidence — even their own — about the physical demands of firefighting and has been unable to answer our concerns during two years of negotiations.
