Firefighter deaths in Houston

Harold Schaitberger, General President, International Association of Fire Fighters

Dear Harold,

We have followed closely the news about the four firefighters killed attending the fire in Houston. Fire Brigades Union members in the UK are shocked and saddened by this terrible tragedy. Our thoughts are with the families, friends and colleagues of our sister and brothers killed in the line of duty: Captain Matthew Renaud; Engineer-Operator Robert Bebee; Fire Fighter Robert Garner; and Fire Fighter Anne Sullivan.

Please pass on our condolences, our best wishes and our solidarity to all concerned and to the members and officials of local 341. At such a time firefighters in the UK and across the world will share the sadness of our brothers and sisters in Houston and throughout the IAFF.

Please let me know if there is anything we can do to assist.

Best wishes.

In Solidarity

MATT WRACK
GENERAL SECRETARY
