NATIONAL LGBT+ SCHOOL OCTOBER 2023
The FBU is pleased to announce that the LGBT+ section residential school will take place on Wednesday 18 October to Friday 20 October 2023 in Newcastle.
This School is the annual opportunity for LGBT+ members to gather together, network and organise. Participants will get an update on all issues concerning the LGBT+ community in the FBU, as well as what is going on in the UK and overseas. You will have the opportunity to meet other LGBT+ firefighters and share your experiences in a supportive environment.
On the first day registration will open at 12.00noon. After lunch the programme will begin formally at 14.00 and will include FBU and external speakers, discussion groups, and learning sessions. You’ll find out more about the FBU and the aims and activities of the LGBT+ section. The School will close at 14.00 on Friday 20 October.
An application form is attached. This should be completed and returned to [email protected] as soon as possible and by Friday 29 September at the latest. All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
We are particularly keen to welcome LGBT+ members who haven’t attended the School before.
