FBU Submission to Grenfell Tower Inquiry Terms of Reference Consultation
FBU members will be following closely the developments around the public inquiry into the Grenfell Tower fire. This is clearly of huge significance to all members of our union and should address fundamental questions about public safety. The union has a unique experience in the UK fire and rescue service in responding to and engaging with inquiries and inquests relating to fire service matters, including public inquiries such as that following the King’s Cross fire.
Please find attached the FBU submission in regard to the Terms of Reference for the inquiry. This follows two initial discussions with the inquiry team as well as discussions with our legal and technical advisors and at the Executive Council.
