Call for Industrial Action
Members have been informed of the result of the recent ballot for strike action in Essex. That ballot was in addition to the previous ballots on the national dispute.
Members have also been informed of the ongoing industrial action short of a strike on the national dispute ' those details remain as notified.
As the person authorised to make the call for industrial action, I now confirm that this discontinuous strike action on the dispute in Essex will commence and terminate at the times and on the dates specified below:
14th January ' 09:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs ' all members.
14th January ' 18:00 hrs to 15th January 06:30 hrs ' RDS members only.
15th January ' 06:30 hrs to 07:30 hrs ' all members.
15th January ' 07:30 hrs to 09:00 hrs ' RDS members only.
15th January ' 09:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs ' all members.
15th January ' 18:00 hrs to 16th January 06:30 hrs ' RDS members only.
16th January ' 06:30 hrs to 07:30 hrs - all members.
16th January ' 07:30 hrs to 09:00 hrs ' RDS members only.
16th January ' 09:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs ' all members.
For ease of reference, this means that, including the action on the national dispute, the industrial action in Essex from 14th January 2015 will be as follows:
14th January 2015 until 09:00 hrs ' industrial action short of a strike (all members except Control).
14th January 2015 09:00 hrs until 18:00 hrs ' strike action (all members).
14th January 2015 18:00 hrs until 15th January 2015 06:30 hrs - strike action (RDS members), industrial action short of a strike (all other members except Control).
15th January 2015 06:30 hrs until 07:30 hrs - strike action (all members).
15th January 2015 07:30 hrs until 09:00 hrs - strike action (RDS members), industrial action short of a strike (all other members except Control).
15th January 2015 09:00 hrs until 18:00 hrs - strike action (all members).
15th January 2015 18:00 hrs until 16th January 2015 06:30 hrs - strike action (RDS members), industrial action short of a strike (all other members except Control).
16th January 2015 06:30 hrs until 07:30 hrs - strike action (all members).
16th January 2015 07:30 hrs until 09:00 hrs - strike action (RDS members), industrial action short of a strike (all other members except Control).
16th January 2015 09:00 hrs until 18:00 hrs - strike action (all members).
From 16th January 2015 18:00 hrs until further notice - industrial action short of a strike (all members except Control).
These are the times/dates/details which have been determined upon. We hope the matter will be resolved shortly. If not, further dates/details in respect of this ongoing industrial action will be notified once determined. Members are now called upon to take industrial action on the dates and times specified above and previously and also on any further dates to be so notified.
