You will be aware from circular 2012HOC0471MW, and from subsequent circulars and the consultative ballot, that we have been seeking the views of members on draft proposals on pay. I can report that the membership consultation has resulted in a 78% €œYes€ vote.
As a result of this, we have been able to reach agreement with the Employers through the NJC on pay for 2012.
This means that the NJC has now agreed a pay increase of 1%. The NJC circulars setting this out are attached.
This issue will be discussed in full by the Executive Council next week, including our assessment of the settlement and surrounding discussions, and our aims on pay for the coming year.
