Police vetting

Conference instructs that the FBU must protect the terms and conditions of its Members by opposing any form of Police vetting. Vetting is a tool used by the Police to check the integrity of its employees and their families. This often intrudes into an individual’s personal history, fi nancial history and both that of their families. Requests for the vetting of our Members has increased since the closer collaboration with the Police.

This Conference reaffi rms that Police vetting is not within the terms and conditions of our Members, and instructs the Executive Council to raise this matter formally with the National Employers.
