IRMP governmental guidance notes

Conference is alarmed at the removal, by Government, of the Governmental guidance notes for Integrated Risk Management Planning (IRMP).

Conference notes that the guidance notes were fit for purpose and remained timely but that they were used as a tool by FBU Brigade Committees to force Fire and Rescue Authorities to either undertake appropriate IRMPs or as a tool demonstrating why some Authorities failed to undertake proper risk management and simply reverted to a cuts policy document.

Conference demands the Executive Council raise as a matter of urgency the repeal of these guidance notes with a view to re-establishing agreed guidance centrally delivered.
