Incident command training

In recognising the importance of effective Incident Command in keeping our Members safe and achieving successful outcomes at incidents, Conference notes progress made in establishing national standards available via Skills for Justice and procedures circulated from National Operational Guidance.

However, Conference also notes inconsistency between Brigades in delivering Incident Command training to personnel and believes this is placing our Members at unnecessary risk. Therefore, Conference instructs the Executive Council to encourage liaison at all levels in the UK Fire and Rescue Service with a view to designing national best practice standards in the delivery of Incident Command training.
