Continued support for the NJC

Conference notes the serious detrimental effects that are the consequence of cuts to fi refi ghter numbers across the Fire and Rescue Service. These cuts impact upon all roles, including offi cers. Conference also notes that some employers have attempted to remove FBU Members, including offi cers and recruits, from Grey Book conditions of service – conditions that were secured only thanks to the efforts of previous generations of FBU Members.

Conference resolves to defend Grey Book conditions of service for all Members and to maintain support for the National Joint Council (NJC) framework, including the Middle Managers’ Negotiating Body (MMNB).
