Support for officer members

Conference demands that the Executive Council pledges its on-going and continued support for the Officers National Committee. In light of the Executive Council’s further projected losses in FBU Members, there has never been a more important time to have a strong Officers National Committee in order to both maintain and ensure that Officer Members stay with the FBU and are supported throughout their careers. The Officers National Committee has a unique and special part to play in the continued independence of the Fire Brigades Union and we call upon Conference to support the Executive Council and Officers National Committee to promote officer membership and to have Representatives in all of its Brigade and Regional Committees.
