Recruitment

At Recall Conference November 2015, the Executive Council resolution to remove Executive Council Members from the Trade Sections was carried. Conference was told that this was necessary due to the potential fi nancial hardship the Union faces. In the Executive Council Policy Statement on Membership, Recruitment and Organising, which was carried at last year’s May Conference, it was discussed in detail the need to recruit from other roles within the Fire Service. Now without any Sectional Executive Council Members, now is not perhaps the easiest time to recruit from other staff groups, but given the financial threat to us continuing as a Union, as noted by the Executive Council at Recall Conference last year,

Conference instructs the Executive Council to recruit new Members as they proposed.
