Conference notes the discussion and debate had during Recall Conference November 2015 on the subject of “Organising FBU Structures and Finances to Address the Challenges of Austerity”, the basis of which was to give consideration on the future financial implications to the Union. Looking at the need to reduce expenditure, Conference agrees a reduction in the number of issues on a permanent basis, to start in January 2017, of Firefighter Magazine from 8 issues to 6, with an ability to produce the occasional special edition if the political or campaigning climate should dictate, with authority for this being sought through the Executive Council.
