Brigade organiser toolkit

The role of Brigade Organiser within the FBU has been identified as having an overall responsibility for developing an effective and efficient Union, with a range of key responsibilities given to that role. However, Brigade Organisers who are new to the role are given little guidance from the Union on how to carry out this important role and the responsibilities it entails. Instead, the handover of responsibilities is left to the existing Brigade Organiser, who themselves will have received no guidance on how best to hand over the responsibilities. The FBU stated its intention to develop an Organiser pack/handbook in a draft Brigade Organiser Role Description, dated 20th July 2012. We are still waiting for this to be produced.

Conference instructs that this toolkit is completed and sent out to all Regions within the next 12 months, with Brigade Organisers being consulted on what they believe the toolkit should contain.
