Anti Trade Union Legislation

Conference is deeply concerned at recent legal cases brought against trade unions who were pursuing, or contemplating pursuing, industrial action, in particular the growing trend of employers using the unfairly stringent anti trade union legislation in relation to the trade unions obligations regarding membership details and the effect that even minor discrepancies have on the legality on the successful outcome of industrial ballots. Conference opposes such practices in the strongest terms possible and as such calls on the Executive Council to lobby the TUC, the FBU Parliamentary Group and all other relevant bodies with a view to redressing this notoriously unfair practice by any and all means possible.
