Organising And Recruitment

Following the pilot Activist Academy course in Humberside and the Humberside FBU Organising Strategy completed in April 2009, Conference instructs the Executive Council to carry out an immediate survey and mapping exercise to identify areas where the TUC Activist Academy course would benefit FBU Officials and members and assist in organising and recruiting new FBU members. Furthermore, Conference instructs the Executive Council to encourage and support the use of local organising strategies as part of a national roll out organising programme in every Brigade within the UK Fire & Rescue Service. The Executive Council will provide a progress report on the use of Brigade Organising Strategies to Annual Conference 2010.
