Njc Dispute Procedures

This Conference is concerned with the practical implementation of the disputes procedures by Fire and Recue Authorities/Boards, as contained within the Sixth Edition of the NJC Conditions of Service (Grey Book). These procedures, rather than affording robust and effective processes for resolving differences, have merely served to prolong issues and fail to resolve them. Consequently, Conference instructs the Executive Council to raise this matter at the next meeting of the National Joint Council, with a view to negotiating new, fairer and more robust dispute procedures.
