Irmp Strategy

Conference acknowledges the work already undertaken to educate FBU Officials and give them the skills and knowledge to challenge their respective brigadeʼs IRMPs. However, Conference also recognises that IRMPs are continuing to be used by Fire Authorities as a means to make cuts in front line services and that the training of our members has deteriorated or is no longer adequate for the increased risks that Fire & Rescue Services throughout the UK deal with. Conference therefore demands that the Executive Council revises the FBUʼs IRMP strategy and provide further training for Officials. This revised strategy to be in place by Conference 2009.
