Consultation And Negotiation Procedures

This Conference condemns Fire & Rescue Services that refuse to recognise the agreed consultation and negotiation procedures. Management repeatedly frustrate the industrial relations processes by failing to accept matters raised by the Fire Brigades Union. Requests for agreement to jointly seek external assistance are denied by management despite such matters clearly falling within the purview of the negotiation procedure. Therefore this Conference demands that the Executive Council immediately challenge this stance taken by local employers at the NJC.
