The Tragic Legacy Of Agent Orange

Conference applauds the continuing works of the Medical and Scientific Aid to Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia Association. We also congratulate them on their continuing fight to seek financial support for victims and families still affected by the dispersal of Agent Orange. In February 2007 MSAVLC requested support from trade unions for a campaign for generous support from governments. Generous financial support of a level that only governments can give. This to aid in adapting housing and provide equipment to enable the moderately disabled as much independence as possible. In turn aid will lighten the crippling financial burden on those families affected. This Conference demands that the General Secretary and the Executive Council assist MSAVLC, by whatever means possible, to generate the political pressure to ensure the campaign succeeds.
