Stephen Lawrence Murder

This Conference is dismayed at the outcome of the Stephen Lawrence murder case and the formal announcement by the Metropolitan Police that they know who murdered him but that they cannot prove it in court The continued freedom of those who are believed by police to have committed this murder will do nothing to abate the continuing rise of fascist beliefs and propaganda which will damage the steps made by the FBU in ensuring the fire service reflects the society it serves. This Conference instructs the Executive Council to agree a plan of action to assist in all ways possible, including financial support as deemed appropriate, to ensure justice is done and those accountable for this racist murder are prosecuted.
