Special Public Holiday – 3rd June 2002
- A special public holiday for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee has been declared by Parliament to take place on 3rd June 2002.
- The NJC has agreed that the day should be treated in the same way as other public holidays for leave and pay purposes.
- Authorities are also reminded of Parliament’s decision to move the Spring Bank Holiday from the last Monday in May to 4th June for 2002 only.
