Recall Conference: 24 July 2019

This circular informs members that a recall of Conference 2019 shall take place on 24 July 2019.

An appeal in respect of  a decision made in accordance with the Union’s internal discipline procedures has been lodged that Rule G3(4)(i) requires should be heard by Conference. The circumstances of the case are such that the Assistant General Secretary is acting in lieu of the General Secretary on matters related to the individual case.

Rule G3(4)(ii) requires that an appeal to Conference shall be in accordance with Rule G2(5)(iii).

Exercising the discretion afforded by Rule G2(5)(iii)(a) the Assistant General Secretary has convened a recall of Conference 2019 to hear that appeal.

The appeal meeting will be held at the Imperial Hotel, North Promenade, Blackpool, FY1 2HB on Wednesday 24 July 2019. The meeting will commence at 12:30 hours.

The meeting will be convened to hear this one item of business only.

The Conference will be held in closed session and, because of the nature of the business being conducted, there will be no observers or visitors in attendance.
