Merseyside Hardship Fund

Circular: 2006HOC0712MW

Dear Brother/Sister,

MERSEYSIDE HARDSHIP FUND

You will by now be aware that the industrial dispute in Merseyside has been settled. However, local members still face financial hardship. A total of 25 full days strike action was taken over 26 days making this the longest period of strike action in the Fire Service since the first national strike in 1977.

In view of this scale of action I would ask all members as well as all Committees of the Union to make another push to raise money to support the Merseyside Hardship Fund. Our members on Merseyside and their families need and deserve our support.

Payments can be made directly into the account using the following details:
MERSEYSIDE HARDSHIP FUND
HSBC Bank
Sort code:     40-29-28
Account number:      91320165

Alternatively cheques can be sent to Kenny Gore, Brigade Membership Secretary, c/o The Fire Brigades Union, The Peoples Centre, Mount Pleasant, Liverpool, L3 5UN.

Please do what you can to assist.

Best wishes.

Yours fraternally

MATT WRACK
GENERAL SECRETARY
