Fairness At Work
Fairness at Work. The union continued during 2007 to campaign and strive to make the Fire and Rescue Service a fairer place for all workers. The levels of Bullying and Harassment being experienced by our members remain unacceptable. Work in this area will continue until there is a zero tolerance of such behaviour. The following paragraphs are from the union’s 2007 annual report and reflect the work being carried out on behalf of all members.

Union. That is why our Fairness at Work policy is so important to us.

Are you a new or expectant parent?
The Union has launched a best practice document for FBU officials
regarding the development and negotiation of
Maternity/Paternity/Adoption policies and other family support
arrangements for all FBU members. It aims to help ensure new parents and
expectant mothers get their just entitlements and don't lose out, and
addresses the rights and needs of members who adopt or foster.
