No Fire Service Cuts

Cornwall County Council plan to make major cuts to the fire service, cutting 35 wholetime firefighter posts – one in six wholetime firefighters; taking longer to get to 999 incidents at night in Camborne and Falmouth.

These cuts will impact across the whole of Cornwall because fire crews frequently work outside their station areas. The longer we take to arrive at fires the more damage your home or business will suffer.

These cuts will reduce our 999 response capability to other major incidents such as major flooding, road traffic accidents and major outdoor fires.

Please:

■ Write to your County Councillor opposing these cuts;
■ Write to your local MP
■ Sign our petitions
