Tragedy in Warwickshire
I know that all FBU members will join me in expressing our sadness at the deaths of our four members in the incident at Atherstone-on-Stour, near Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire.
The deceased are named as:

I know the thoughts of all of us are with the families who have suffered such a tragic loss. I further ask that you think of the others who attended this incident and will also be suffering in many ways as a result.

Messages of sympathy and condolence have already come in from Firefighters Unions around the world, including from the U.S.A, the Republic of Ireland and the Czech Republic.
I know that all members will be keen to do whatever is possible to support and assist the families, friends and colleagues of John, Darren, Ian and Ashley, and I will issue further information when available and appropriate. Messages of condolence can be submitted through the Union’s website.
FBU officials have already started work on investigating this tragedy, and further information will be released when possible. This will obviously be a long and difficult process and Head Office will provide whatever support is necessary.
