FIRE SERVICE PAY INCREASE

The National Joint Council on 12th June formally endorsed the Fire Service Pay Formula increase of 2.7%. This is as a result of negotiations between the Fire Brigades Union and the Fire Service Employers and the Pay Formula agreed under the Pay and Conditions Agreement 2003.

A full breakdown of the figures will be sent out shortly. However, for the Competent Firefighter this increase means the annual salary rises to £26,548.
